Kentucky 4th Degree Assault - LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT/Gray News) - A University of Kentucky student has been arrested in connection with the physical and verbal assault of another student.
Sophia Rosing was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center around 3:50 a.m. Sunday. His charges include public intoxication, disorderly conduct, fourth-degree assault and third-degree assault (of a police officer). His bail is set at $10,000.

The video shows student Kylah Spring being attacked while on duty as a receptionist at the dormitory at the time. Spring shared a video on social media explaining the situation, and it's going viral online.

"For those of you who don't know me, my name is Kylah. Kylah Spring. I'm a student at the University of Kentucky," Spring said.
He explained that he was working as a receptionist at Boyd Hall when the attacker entered the building, apparently drunk.
"I mean, are you okay?" and he kept looking at me and started calling me n*****," said Spring, "he bit my arm, hit me in the face.
On Sunday morning, the University of Kentucky released an initial statement on Twitter saying it was investigating the incident and offering support to the victim.

They then released a statement from the President of the University of Kentucky Dr. Eli Capilouto, they said in part, "To clarify: We condemn this behavior and we will not tolerate it under any circumstances. According to Rosing's LinkedIn page, he has worked as a cheerleader on the Dillard campus. She was hired through a program run by College Fashionista and their parent company, Her Campus Media.
College Fashionista also released a statement, saying, "Today we heard about a video involving a College Fashionista member physically and verbally assaulting two black women. At Her Campus Media and College Fashionista, we are speaking out strongly about this bad behavior and we do. we do not tolerate any form of racism or hate. We unashamedly support the BIPOC community and affirm that black lives matter.
"I was very disappointed to see one of my colleagues behave in this way towards another of my colleagues, and I hope that everyone in the UK is still feeling safe and comfortable, and of course that's not what happened," junior Julian Downey said. .
